Let's have some fun
On September 30, I'm going to release my brand new course Solo School.
This is the biggest and most exciting project I've worked on in a long time.
So to celebrate, I'm sharing one of the backing tracks from the course, so you can see how I solo over the track, and then make it your own.
And to spice things up a bit, I have a fun challenge for you to try…
You see, one of my favorite things about the legendary guitarists we cover inside Solo School is how differently they'd each solo over the exact same two chords:
David Gilmour finds those soaring bends, Mark Knopfler tracks the chords precisely, fingerpicking every note, and John Mayer adds a few embellished chords, mixes major and minor flavors, and maybe even throws in a few SRV-style rakes.
The same simple progression, three completely different voices.
And now I want to hear yours.
This isn't about shredding all over the fretboard, or crafting the perfect solo with flawless audio and studio lighting. It's about having fun, mixing up your improv practice, and testing yourself to get the most out of every single note, just like your favorite guitarists.
