The trap
Another lick is another word you cannot use in a conversation.
- You can play twenty solos note for note, and freeze the moment the track is unfamiliar.

- More vocabulary has not fixed it, because vocabulary was never the problem.
Learning a solo from tab without the language underneath is memorizing the lyrics to a song in a language you do not speak. You can sing every word. It never quite sounds right.

I spent years handing people more words.
Every lesson I made taught another lick, another shape, another solo note for note. People learned them. They played them back perfectly. And then they told me the same thing, over and over: I still cannot make anything up.
That is not a practice problem and it is not a talent problem. You can hand someone a thousand words and they still cannot hold a conversation, because a conversation is not made of words. It is made of knowing what you want to say.
The greats are not playing more notes than you. They are saying something with fewer.

I know a lot of licks already. Is this too basic?
The licks are not the problem this course solves. If you can play other people’s solos but freeze when the backing track is unfamiliar, that gap is exactly what the six weeks are for.
Do I need to read music?
No. Everything is taught by ear and on the fretboard, with tab available for anyone who wants it.
Acoustic or electric?
Either. The language does not change with the instrument.
How much time does it take?
